All Signs

What are you sitting on the fence for? What is it, exactly, that you find so scary about jumping into your future, into what you know to be right for you? Your inner self beacons and an adventure is peaking over the horizon, so why not let go of the monkey on your back, the one that tells you ‘I am not good enough,’ and go for it? Well, to be quite frank, your fears stem from the fact that though you have jumped into the unknown before, this time is different. What you feel you have to offer the world, or what you can create for yourself, is somehow not as safe. Whether or not you are conscious of it, what you want to do may be seen as existing outside culturally accepted norms. (Although, this could just be an illusion created by your fear so that you have an excuse not to move forward.) And even if it is true, isn’t it about time you stood up for yourself?

Aries – Mar. 21 to Apr. 19

The exhaustion that keeps pulling you down into a spiraling vortex of bad luck, melancholy, and general self-indulgence (because, come on, let’s call it what it is), only has a small basis in reality. Yes, you have been working hard, and maybe not everyone recognizes this fact, but you have also been a full participant in things not going your way. What do you do when things get hard? Do you follow old patterns of self-destruction, or do you pull up your britches and keep going? Nobody is going to do it for you. However, you have much more support than you allow yourself to recognize. Listen to your own inner knowing, face your fears, and look to the future.

Taurus – Apr. 20 to May 20

Your experience of life at this time could be classified as ho-hum, dullsville, or you know, just downright boring. You may be wondering where all the excitement is, or better yet, why is everyone else experiencing it but you? Well, let’s just take a minute and remember everything you have been through in the last year. There has been a lot of breakthrough, new beginnings, and yes, excitement. Maybe you’ve just gotten used to being in the ‘lime-light’, hmmm? Everything in nature goes through cycles, you are simply in that stage where you are meant to take a deep breath and reflect. Take advantage of this time by allowing yourself to dream of the next big adventure, the next idea, the next change that will take hold of your life and sweep you away.

Gemini – May 21 to Jun. 20

Those of us old enough to remember the days without cell phones or the internet, often get a good chuckle (or perhaps we shake our heads in shame) over how connected and dependant younger generations are on these technologies. Often we brag that we were sent outside to play, or that, to us, social networking meant actually engaging with real flesh-and-blood people. Well guess what, we can’t get off that easy. It’s time for you to get off the couch, meet up with old friends or find new ones, and get out into the world. You have created all kinds of excuses not to get out there, but in your heart of hearts, you do know that these are just excuses. And besides, you won’t find any solutions to your financial or career problems by staring at a screen. Open up to the magic that is available to you.

Cancer – Jun. 21 to Jul. 22

When change comes, sometimes it thunders through our lives fast and furious. And even if we’ve been expecting it, praying for it, and thinking that it will come, when it does it can be a shock to the system. Don’t let this short-term feeling of being overwhelmed get in your way. You have no idea what the universe has in store for you so don’t inhibit the process by shutting down or self-destructing when things have only just started to get going. Warning: this change does mean that you will have to get over a few fears, the biggest of which is the one that tells you that you are not worthy. Come on, you only live once. I believe in you. Are you ready to believe in yourself?

Leo – Jul. 23 to Aug. 22

Is there such thing as success won through the unplanned wanderings of the fool? In your case, Leo, there is. You may not know how it happened, or why, but things are going your way right now. The dreams you hold within you are coming to fruition even though you have not planned a direct path to achieve their ends. In fact, others around you may be a bit jealous because to them it looks like you are attaining success through blind luck. This is not so, however. It’s all a matter of your core intent and this core intent, no matter how secondary you have placed it in terms of your everyday thinking, is still on track and creating results. Ride the wave while it lasts.

Virgo – Aug. 23 to Sept. 22

The shield you have built around your heart is crumbling. This will not be an easy time for you as this shield, built to protect you from pain and sorrow, has become part of your identity. You have become quite used to saying no to new situations and people. You even tell them, ‘I’m just not that kind of person’, and through this you have pushed opportunity away. However, you are more than this and the universe is going to push you into situations that force you to trust. Yes, there it is, that evil word: trust. Though your conscious mind tells you that this is about your ability (or not) to trust other people, what it’s really about is trusting yourself. Everything happens for a reason. Take that past pain, created by ‘bad decisions’ and learn from it. Beauty and joy await you.

Libra – Sept. 23 to Oct. 22

The creative juices are flowing. Ideas abound. You are receptive to life, new viewpoints, and change in a way that you have not been for a very long time. Take advantage of this time, do what your heart calls you to do, and allow yourself to have fun in the process. Yes, you can have fun. It is OK if the weight of the world is not on your shoulders for a while, you have nothing to feel guilty about. Be warned though, this receptivity works two ways. By this I mean that you will have to adapt even more to the experience of feeling and emotion in your life. I know this is a taboo issue for you (or at least that’s what you want the outside world to think), but if you fight against it you will only cause yourself stress. Besides, you’re not a robot. Are you?

Scorpio – Oct. 23 to Nov. 21

Think of the chakras in the body: higher self, third eye, throat, heart, will, womb, and root. Hold this image in your mind and imagine the higher self and the third eye coming into alignment with the will. You can see the possibilities, can’t you? Your intent (will) in-line with your higher self (consciousness). For an intellectual such as yourself, there could not be a more enticing concept. Well, that’s what is happening for you over the next while, Scorpio, so make the best of it. Act with integrity, meditate on your intent, and demand of yourself true wholeness in your actions. Then sit back and watch what happens.

Sagittarius – Nov. 22 to Dec. 21

You may be feeling more like a hermit these days, but the outward manifestation of this reality is that you are giving yourself permission to trust. You might ask how these two things go hand in hand, especially when the inward time is so personal, so vast, so far from the comprehension of those you associate with. You are on a journey, and you know it. Your dreams are where you know this truth the most. This inward journey is teaching you things about the outside world (and those you love), that you have not quite brought into your own consciousness yet. Think of it this way, your instinctive reactions will change before your brain has had time to catch up and your old patterns of mistrust will melt away and become cliché.

Capricorn – Dec. 22 to Jan. 19

You wanted a sign. You have been praying and hoping and hinging the value of your existence in expectation of this sign. It doesn’t matter what this means to you, whether it’s that you are looking for a new job, or you are hopeful that that certain someone will notice you, or whether you want to go sit on the top of a mountain for the rest of your life, the fact remains: you want someone to tell you what to do, preferably the universe. Well, get ready. Magic is on the way and things will start looking up where before they looked so hopeless. But there’s a twist. This sign will come from inside of you. You will discover a new vision, a new plan, a new way of looking at the world that had not occurred to you before. Your only job is to trust your gut and not get lost in a mire of self-doubt.

Aquarius – Jan. 20 to Feb. 18

Admit it, you have no idea what you are doing these days. You feel like a kid on the first day of school, the one who has not yet made friends or discovered the social rules of a school setting. But it’s not in your nature to admit such things, is it? You want to be in control, or at least you want it to appear that you are in control. The problem is, you have gone past the point of believing your own arrogance and this means you won’t be able to hide the truth so well anymore. So why not compromise? Why not let go of the illusion of control and see what others have to offer you when you do not use your powers of coercion or manipulation? If you do, that scared little kid inside might not feel so vulnerable and lost. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Pisces – Feb. 19 to Mar. 20

What is the biggest challenge for you right now, Pisces? It may sound simple, but it’s not, especially for you. Your biggest challenge is staying focussed. Yes, you read that right. Focus. Don’t let anyone take you off track.
